Just wanted to pop my head in and say "hi." I'm a pretty big fan of EC and I saw him in concert almost a month ago, in Detroit. He absolutely blew me away!
BTW-Has anyone seen a DVD called "Supersession?"
I just purchased it yesterday and watched it
before signing on. Pretty interesting, however,
Clapton doesn't appear till the end.

Sun, August 8, 2004 - 10:13 PMYup. There's also "Concert for Bangladesh" if you want mediocre audio and stone-age videography. I stick to EC's "Hyde Park", "One More Car, One More Rider", "24 Nights", "And Friends", "And Friends 1986", and "Unplugged" for DVD excellence.
There's also the incomparable "Concert for George" (Harrison) for those who wish to see the very best of George's friends (Paul, Ringo, Marc Mann, Albert Lee, Joe Brown, Jewels Holland, Tom Petty, EC, Jeff Lynn, and George's look-alike son, Dhani), Anoushka Shankar (Ravi's daughter and Nora Jones's sister) playing the most mind blowing sitar riffs ever conceived, and an Indian orchestra playing Ravi's "Arpan" for George. If you listen carefully to Anoushka and to the orchestra, you can hear the story of George's life played out emotionally by the music.
The whole DVD is mind-blowing, as is anything EC ever does.
Peace to you and welcome to the tribe.

Sat, August 28, 2004 - 7:53 AMI've seen Concert For Bangladesh and, despite the primitive style that was used to make it, the performances are really good. Not great, but good.
