My five favorite Clapton albums. . .i know it is all subjective, but here we go:
5. Wheels of Fire
4. 461 Ocean Boulevard
3. John Mayall's Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton (the "beano" album)
2. Layla and Other Various Assorted Love Songs
1. From the Cradle
With so many to choose from, that is the way I would pick them.

Re: rank 'em
Thu, April 14, 2005 - 9:56 AMI don't think it's possible, really. Some EC albums don't hold my attention as long as others, but to select order from those that do, would do great disservice to many grand examples of EC's work.
Blues, From the Cradle, Crossroads II, Pilgrim, Reptile, Disraeli Gears, Wheels of Fire, Layla and Other...., and the CDs accompanying the, 24 Nights, One More Car, One More Rider, Sessions for Robert J, are all mind-blowingly to me.
Hell, from Slowhand to Riding with the King to Sessions for Robert J, EC has presented us with continual magic, and shared with us his most private self. Clapton is God.
